Thanks Bee-chan. High praise for an unfinished piece from an amazing artist. I've missed working with him (he's squishy adorable, no matter how I draw him).
Wow Kristy you are very talented, did you color this in with a computer program? What kind of programs do u like on the computer? I have a friend who has Photoshop and filled a picture I drew in with it, and it didn't even look like the same pictures, it blew me away! Keep up the great work, I enjoy seeing it.
Hey, Vicki, thanks for the comment. I did use Photoshop for the colors (I have several programs, but the Adobe suite is my favorite).
This one has taken awhile since I am digitally "painting" in Photoshop with the tablet. I have an old idea I'll have to come back to using this method now, as I think I can make it look very much like it did in my head. I'm still working this up (no shading on the socks for example).
On the ones I posted today, I actually laid the sketch over the color using "multiply setting". I used the tablet to select and create flat areas of color. All the shading is actually from the pencil sketch.
Eee! It's been so long since I've seen Gavin! He's still as adorable as ever.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check this out again later on my pc. Smartphones don't artwork any justice.
